Delilah Magazine: Social Media Secretary

Highkey sounds fun. Would love a shot at it. I love video editing which I think is of use for some fun content ideas!

I’d love to be Social Media Secretary for Delilah because live music is already a huge part of my life, I’m at a good few gigs a month! Some of my favourite artists are The 1975, Charli XCX and The Stone Roses, and I’m always keeping up with new releases, tours and what’s happening in the music scene, so I’d love to help capture that energy through Delilah’s socials.
I also have experience posting on social media for other projects, so I’m comfortable creating content, keeping feeds active and thinking about what music lovers want to see. I really like Delilah’s current socials and would love to build on the aesthetic we already have.
If I got the role, I’d love to keep the socials busy with things like gig diaries from contributors, “what we’re listening to this week” posts, and more live gig content. I’d also like to try interactive posts like polls or quick reactions to big releases, highlight contributors’ favourite gigs or albums, and share recommendations for upcoming shows around campus and in London.

Hi, I'm Aarushi. I'm an Year 2 law student. I've been involved with Delilah since my first year, having written and designed articles for the print magazine. This term, I've had the opportunity to contribute more to the print magazine by editing a few articles and designing the art for others.

As the Marketing Officer of another society, I have experience in maintaining the social media of a society. Specifically, I'm familiar with Photoshop, Canva and DaVinci Resolve. For Delilah's social media, I think that creating more TikToks and Instagram Reels will increase engagement. I also think that as a music magazine, Delilah can introduce a regular social media series on Instagram, like a Song of the Week segment. 

Hi! I’m Izzy, and I’m putting myself forward for Social Media Secretary!

I have loved writing for Delilah this past year, and would love to get even more involved by being part of the committee next year. Being part of a society where everybody shares in their love for music is such a great opportunity, and it would be great to actively upkeep this community and help in its running.

I am constantly attending concerts or listening to music, ask anyone who knows me! Writing about music has become part of this passion this past year, and I consume any and all sorts of music and associated media, so I feel that I am perfectly suited to being as much a part of this society as possible!

I think that I would be skilled at the upkeep of Delilah's social media and pushing the marketing for the magazine because I am very confident using these online platforms to communicate, and am also such a perfectionist so have a keen eye in making sure that social media pages would have a cohesive and engaging theme! I am an aspiring future culture journalist, and so this would be both a great opportunity for me, and also something I would stay passionate about and put my full effort into throughout the course of the year. I am a hard worker and also very good at managing my time so would be very reliable in this role!
