The Sponsorships and Careers Officers for the 2025–26 academic year had a significant impact on my first year at UCL ACS. Their tenacity in securing opportunities - from the highly successful Macquarie visit last autumn to tailored, practical advice on professional development - helped me navigate university with greater clarity and confidence. I am standing because I want to give back to current and future cohorts by continuing and expanding this work.

In the role, I would focus on delivering practical, accessible careers support. This includes hosting insight and “day-in-the-life” events at big name organisations across different industries; structured small-group networking sessions that feel inclusive, and worthwhile, rather than intimidating and drab; as well as targeted CV, interview, and application strategy workshops. I would also aim to strengthen relationships with current and future sponsors to foster repeat engagement and meaningful opportunities for ACS members, hopefully for a long time to come.

With the job market evolving rapidly, access to guidance, exposure, and transferable professional skills matters more than ever. I am motivated to help students explore their ambitions with confidence and direction, and it would be a genuine honour to serve ACS in this role.
