The Labour Society remains a key part of student participation within national politics. It has been a rocky year for the society, with the party’s general unpopularity and the relative inactivity of the society, 2026 will be a key year for putting it on firm foundations. I intend to emphasise participatory events like debates, pint and policy and a range of guest speakers. Member participation is key to any societies success therefore, I will keep a keen ear to the suggestions of our members and do my best to implement their recommendations.
