Korean Society: President

Dear UCL Korean Society members,

I am honored to put myself forward for the role of President of UCL Korean Society. My vision for our society is simple yet ambitious: to create a more inclusive, dynamic, and engaging community that brings together Koreans and non-Koreans alike to celebrate Korean culture, foster meaningful friendships, and provide valuable academic and career support.

As a passionate member of the society, I have seen firsthand the impact our events and initiatives have had on students—from cultural festivals and networking sessions to casual social gatherings. However, I believe we can take our society to new heights by expanding collaborations with other societies, organizing bigger and more interactive events, and enhancing support for both international and home students navigating university life.

If elected, I will focus on:

• Inclusivity & Engagement – Making sure all students, whether Korean or non-Korean, feel welcome and involved in our community.
• Stronger Industry & Alumni Networks – Expanding career opportunities through mentorship programs, guest speakers, and partnerships with professionals in various industries.
• Bigger & Better Cultural Events – Elevating our flagship events, such as K-Night and Chuseok celebrations, while introducing new initiatives that showcase Korean culture in fresh and exciting ways.
