As a first year international student, I have truly benefitted from the robust and accessible Jewish Society at UCL -- it being a community that I could feel part of, and join immediately, upon arriving in London. In gratitude for this welcoming community and for my Jewish identity, I want to be involved in making sure that the society continues to run seamlessly, with clear organization and communication and with engagement opportunities that are comprehensible and can appeal to every Jewish, culturally Jewish, and interested-in-Judaism student. That open-door, tailored outlook is at the heart of my Jewish experience, and I relate seriously to maintaining in the Jewish Society an environment that caters to different types of Jewish needs and desires.
I want to maximize Jewish society events as much as possible, I’m standing for organizing a trip to Israel, at least 3 societal pub crawls a month, a free Hebrew lessons, at least 3 club nights a month organized by Jsoc, a public speaking course, I’m running to make the jsoc a place we’re every member can feel at home, I’m eager to make every possible sacrifice to improve the condition of the society members, I’m standing for each one of them, and I’m standing to proudly represent the community I’m coming from, as I already have the rxpirencr of being a treasurer in my previous two schools, I have the experience and the determination to change things and to correctly manage the budget.
