Hi, I am Aika! (First-year Physics student, Japanese)

I am running for Career Officer to provide experience in career-related events and knowledge to both Japanese and non-Japanese students. My interest in this role comes from attending career events, which have helped me explore different career options. I would like to create a community where people can discover job opportunities and make informed decisions about their careers.

As Career Officer, I will:

  • Organize both online and on-campus events to provide insights into a wider range of career options and internships.
  • Initiate collaborative socials with other universities, helping students find a “Shūkatsu” companion.
  • Strengthen alumni connections to offer firsthand experiences and advice on career decision-making.
  • Provide clear and accessible information with timelines

Why me?

  • Having held multiple leadership roles previously, I have the ability to take the lead and implement new initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with companies and recruitment agencies, bringing diverse career opportunities.
  • Attentive in responding to student feedback.

Please VOTE for me for an informative and valuable career event experience!

Taka Hayashi

Hi! I’m Taka, a first year student from Tokyo!

I am currently the careers subcommittee of Japan society, helping run the careers events. This year, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being able to bridge the needs of recruiters and interests of students, and I’m hoping to take this even further next year as a full committee member!

Why I’m a good fit:

→ My pre-established relationship with recruiters will strengthen event consistency, and close communication will foster events that are better aligned with student ambitions.

→ Experience running UCL career events this year and Bank of Japan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs visits in high school provides me with the skills for smooth and efficient event organization.

What I will improve:

→ Increase the number of events and support for non-japanese students interested in careers in Japan.

→ Improve the event information organization on the careers instagram so finding events you are interested in becomes easy.

Looking forward to making next year even better! よろしくお願いします!
