Hi, I’m Angel, an MSci Psychology student and current Events Officer in the Society.
Extending existing efforts in engaging you and raising mental health awareness. I aspire to pioneer initiatives that help you:
•Engage with the Society: Introduction of sub-committees to involve you in our decision-making
•Develop professionally: Launching a mentorship programme for you to bond with other members
•Connect with others: Regular socials with activities like games, arts, competitions
•Contribute to the community: Volunteering programmes and fundraisers for related charities
With years of advocating for mental health and volunteering for related charities, I have:
•Strong determination to lead change: I have been chairing an award-winning mental health campaign in Hong Kong, as well as Cultured Minds, a UCL student-led volunteering project that links culture and mental health
•Comprehensive knowledge in mental health and safeguarding: As a certified mental health first aider, I am also well-trained in supporting your mental health and safeguarding vulnerable individuals
•Diverse experiences: I have volunteered at Kith & Kids, London Nightline and Age UK Islington
Given my background in mental health advocacy and previous contribution to the Society, I hope that you can entrust me with the precious opportunity to lead the Society. With your support, I endeavour to perfect your experience and promote your wellbeing.
