From 17 – 21 March, you can vote for your chosen candidates in this year's Leadership Race. As a UCL student, you have the power to shape the future of student life on campus.
But why is it so important to vote? Let’s take a look.
Your chance to make your voice heard!
By voting, you can influence who represents you across UCL, clubs, societies, and the whole Students' Union.
Sabbatical Officers play a crucial role in voicing your opinions and concerns at the top across UCL. By voting, you’re actively participating in the democratic process and choosing the candidates who best align with your needs.
Think of the Future
The elected Officer team actively work for you - across the year, they lead campaigns, push for change, and ensure students' voices are represented at all levels. The elected Officer team will work throughout the year to improve student life and those who study at UCL in the future.
Every Vote Counts
Elections can be extremely close, with some positions determined by only a few votes. Your vote matters and could be the deciding factor in who wins.
Don't rely on others to vote for the right person. Your vote truly makes a difference!
How to Vote
Look out for candidates being announced in the Leadership Race from Wednesday 12 March at 17:00 onwards and browse the digital candidate fair when it's live.
Each candidate has a manifesto, which outlines their goals and plans if elected. Find out which issues are important to you and then cast your vote on who you want to represent you in various roles.
Voting is OPEN from Monday 17 March - Friday 21 March (until 12:00).
We use a system of voting called STV, which stands for Single Transferable Vote. This means you order candidates by preference, from the one you'd most like to win to the one you'd least like, and if your preferred candidate gets knocked out (by having the least overall votes), we'll transfer your vote to your next preference. No member shall have more than one vote per position.
