Volunteering Officer

I loved my experience here at UCL - it was fun, fulfilling and full of meaningful memories (minus the stressful exam season).

I’ve been volunteering ever since primary school and continued through till university as I really enjoyed it and find immensely meaningful and rewarding. It helped me to discover and learn new things which I think shaped who I am today.

Volunteering really helps with personal development

Volunteering has helped me develop my soft skills such as communication and time management. These skills have contributed greatly to my personal development and is something I’m very grateful for.

I appreciate the wide range of backgrounds volunteers come from so it’s always so interesting and inspiring to talk to student volunteers on the campus. They all have diverse volunteering experiences to share and for us to learn from.

Bringing our work to wider audiences

One of the highlights from this year has been creating video content about volunteering for social media. This is a completely new experience for me and I learned so much from it.

Not only did I learn to edit videos, I also get to share my volunteering experiences to a wider audience online.

The work is not over!

look forward to continuing my studies next year, and continuing my volunteering journey. I also look forward to many great things to come from the Volunteering Service and the incoming volunteering officer!
