In January, UCL will be welcoming a new President and Provost. Michael Arthur, who's been in post since 2013, will be stepping down, and Michael Spence will be taking over.

The President and Provost leads UCL. They are responsible for setting and delivering the strategic direction of the university, from new buildings to student numbers. Over the past few years, the Provost has led UCL's work to build and open the new Student Centre, commission an inquiry into UCL's historic links to eugenics, launched campaigns such as Full Stop, and launched a new sustainability strategy. It's a varied role, and they are in the figurehead of all of UCL's work.

We work closely with the Provost, representing the views of students through regular meetings and projects. This close working relationship has helped us influence decisions, like the introduction of a no detriment policy, accommodation fee refunds, proper pay for Postgrads who teach, and lots more.

With a new Provost starting in January, we want to know what you think his priorities should be. What are the things he should get to work on right away, and what should he focus on over the next few years?

Give your feedback below, anonymously if you'd like, and we'll collate all the responses and present them to the new Provost in January.
