We now have our Partners Breakfast topics and dates for the 20-21 academic year, please see below. They will be held online, over Zoom.

These events are a great opportunity for our contacts in the partner organisations we work with to find out more about what we do, how we can work effectively together and provide an informal forum for networking.

Friday 11 December, 10am-11.30am – Online volunteering *EXPIRED*

This is an opportunity for you to tell us how you’ve found moving your volunteering opportunities online, issues you’ve faced with a digital transition and getting your thoughts on our newly rolled out short-term tasks category.

Friday 26 February, 10am-11.00am – Our online events  *EXPIRED*

We hold several online events throughout the year with community partners including our Volunteering Fairs, Sector Talks and Social Hackathons. We’d love to know what you think works, what doesn’t work and how we can improve these for the future.

Thursday 22 April, 10am-11am - The Future of Volunteering at UCL  *EXPIRED*

John Braime, Manager of the Volunteering Service, will be sharing the preliminary results of his research into the future of volunteering at UCL.  Come and hear about what UCL students – and our colleagues around UCL – really think about volunteering, and what this might mean for your own programmes. There will also be a chance to contribute your ideas too and shape the direction of our new strategy.

Wednesday 26 May 10-11am - Volunteer Motivations *EXPIRED*

What makes UCL students volunteer? How can you get UCL students volunteering with you? We’ll be giving you our insight about and feedback from UCL students and give you the chance to share your experiences in smaller breakout room discussions.  We’ll also discuss what we can do to increase engagement in your opportunities before returning to the main group for a summary.

Thursday 5 August - Organisation-Led Projects

We would like to support our Student-Led Projects to deliver activities tailored towards the needs of your organisation and have an initiative whereby we support UCL students to run Organisation-Led Projects.  Through this scheme, community organisations and schools have the opportunity to submit ideas for Student-Led Projects that they would like our students to run for their organisation.  Each Student-Led Project that we support has the opportunity to apply for up to £750 worth of funding.  Come and find out more about this initiative and how your organisation can get involved.
