Mira Hamita

The role of a communications officer is vital to any society and organization. One of the primary skills needed is, of course, the ability to communicate effectively. My previous experience of being the head of logistics and sports in my high school's student council has allowed me to flourish in this regard. I have experience in organizing main school events, primarily sports competitions and school conferences, as well as collaborated with other council members on various events. The ability to act as a liaison between society members, prospective members and the committee is of utmost importance, which I can contribute to this role.

I also have work experience in a fintech company where, as part of my role, I worked on the social media aspect. Writing and optimizing content in a structured environment means that I have transferrable skills for the role of communications officer as well. It has impart me with the ability to curate and implement effective communications activities. As a result, I would like to bring over my skills and experience over to the MUN society and bring something new to the table.
