What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I hope to achieve a lot as our Hall Officer. Mainly a genuine sense of community and connection, by organizing and running a variety of fun events, from movie nights to cooking sessions to study groups to spontaneous hangouts. And I promise to ensure you all feel included :)

I also plan to be someone you can turn to if you ever need support/advice, your concerns voiced, or just a friendly chat. I want to bring good vibes, creativity, and a bit of chaos (the fun kind) to make hall life something we’ll all actually remember and enjoy.

Because halls should feel like a home, not just accommodation.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I offer an easygoing but confident attitude to this role, and I'm someone who's supportive, approachable, and more than happy to help. I enjoy connecting with people, helping out when needed, and keeping the atmosphere positive. My years of prior experience as a peer tutor, Best Buddies International programme member and class representative give the me strong communication, leadership, and teamwork, so I know how to balance responsibility with good vibes and Ill bring that same energy to make hall life something we can all remember.  Also Ill bring more food to the common room :o

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

You should vote for me because I have and will be completely transparent about my ideas and plans, and I will ensure you are all involved in decision making and discussions. Moreover, from my own experiences, I completely understand how overwhelming it may be to suddenly change your environment, so I will personally make sure all of your voices are heard by unions and accommodation staff and resolve any issues swiftly. Finally, my prior work experiences required the same attitudes, skills and qualities, equipping me with most of the attributes needed to make New Hall your new home truly :)

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If i got the role my goal would be to bring together the community in One Pool Street, although there are Flourish organised events in the common room, i think it be nice to have mini societies and more events here, such as games nights and even study sessions a exam season comes along, cause i understand not everyone wants to or can travel to centeral for them. i hope in this role i can be a friendly face that you can talk to and confide in, As although i wouldnt call myself the most extroverted. I am always happy to talk to someone new and make new friends.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I think i would be a good choice for this role as i have experience with managing people in social settings as i was Form Captain for 2 years which i think has helped my interpersonal skills making me more suited to leadership roles. As well as this i have experience from competitions such as UKSDC which means im used to working with people and coming up with solutions that suit everyone. I'll take feedback seriously and make a active effort to improve myself and my surroundings for the better.
