What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Having navigated academic and social environments as a deaf student, I have experience, empathy, and resilience. My proactive stance towards embracing diversity and fostering inclusion is something I've been committed to for many years and have presented and spoken at events including talking about "Being You" at my Sixth Form before coming to university. I wish to continue advocating for greater understanding and acceptance of differences, especially disabilities. My commitment remains unwavering in establishing an inclusive university setting where everyone is appreciated and valued.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I aim to collaborate closely with the Disabled Student’s Network, other societies, and local charities. Drawing from my own experiences and those of others at UCL, I aspire to harness and generate influence. By prioritising the inclusion of disabled women in our university's initiatives and policies, we can foster a more supportive and inclusive environment for all members within our women's network.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I appreciate challenges that come with living with disabilities, and I also know how amazing people who navigate and overcome barriers can be. I have experience of leading and collaborating, and I believe in the collective power and influence women have when we work together. I'd love an opportunity to demonstrate my skills and work with you - please vote for me!
