Women in Tech Society: President

Hello, my name is Lilly and I am excited to run for President. As a former UCL Guild Events & Outreach Executive, I have developed interpersonal and organisational skills to ensure activities run smoothly.

My aims:

1) Empowerment Through Mentorship: I will establish a robust mentorship program, connecting experienced professionals with aspiring tech enthusiasts. By fostering these relationships, we can provide guidance, inspiration, and practical advice to navigate the complexities of the tech industry.

2) Innovative Learning Opportunities: I pledge to organize workshops, hackathons, and seminars featuring leading industry experts. These events will not only enhance our technical skills but also broaden our understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring we stay at the forefront of innovation.

3) Inclusive Community Building: Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of my vision. I will work tirelessly to create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. This includes advocating for equal opportunities, promoting diverse voices, and addressing the unique challenges faced by women in tech.

4) Collaborative Partnerships: I aim to build events in other UCL societies to create a multi- and inter-displinary approach and raising our profile through media, conferences, and community events, we can inspire the next generation of women to pursue careers in technology.
