Tea Society: Social Secretary

I am passionate about organising inclusive and engaging events that bring our tea-loving community together, and I have the experience and vision to enhance our society's offerings.

Hi everyone. I am Marissa Yang and I wish to run for Social Secretary of Tea Society!

Being raised in an environment with a strong tea culture, I became a tea lover. Therefore, I am eager to devote myself into this lovely tea community to promote tea culture.

My past experiences in event planning and promoting activities has equipped me with the skills to effectively promote and execute a variety of social events. As the leader of the media team in high school, I was in charge of advertising all school events and effectively assigning tasks to team members. This role equipped me with skills to manage promotional campaigns and ensure every event received attention by reaching target audience.

As the Social Secretary, I promise I will:

• organize engaging and diverse events such as tea tasting sessions and larger festive gathering
• promote events through social media platforms and ensure it is accessible to every member
• ensure everyone feels welcomed 
• collect feedback after each event for improvement
• assist the president and other committee members in their duties to smooth operation of the Tea Society
