Hi! I am Hannah, and I'm thrilled to be running for the position of RUMS VP for Academic Representation (Years 4 to 6). Navigating the clinical years can be challenging, with academic expectations and life experiences taking a toll on us. Amidst the uncertainties we face as upcoming graduates, I am determined to make this journey smoother.
Drawing on my experiences this year, particularly as an academic representative, I believe I am well-equipped for this role. I've maintained close communication with fellow reps, actively participating in meetings where I've advocated our views to the medical school. If elected, I pledge to keep you, the student body, at the forefront of all decisions.
My aims are to:
Facilitate regular and easy-to-understand updates on UKFPO changes, advocating for Q&A sessions to empower us to make well-informed decisions about our futures.
Continue the development and enhancement of BMX as our fourth clinical site, guaranteeing an enjoyable experience for all students across all sites.
Collaborate with the Welfare Subcommittee to foster support for students grappling with burnout and exam stress, alongside offering practical academic and timetabling assistance.
Revamp 'Treasure Trove' as a resource which also caters to the needs of clinical students, making it more relevant and accessible.
I am committed to serving and supporting each one of you to the best of my abilities. Let's make our time here at medical school even more enjoyable!
