Samantha Khoo

Hey everyone! I’m a fourth-year student in Biological Sciences. In the past academic year, I decided to join the makeup society despite not having any makeup skills. The MUA society really opened my eyes into the makeup scene and showed me that there are so many ways we can express ourselves through makeup 😊

Being pretty much a total beginner, the free products and palettes I got from our sponsors were pivotal in kickstarting my makeup journey. They gave me the freedom to practice makeup without having to invest monetarily in the products myself, which I know can be a huge hurdle for many of you as well! The sponsored products were also an integral part of the society’s makeup workshops, allowing everyone to participate in the activities regardless of experience.

This is why I’m committed to create the same experience for you all by continuing to foster a stable relationship with our current sponsor Pastel and of course seek for sponsorships from other brands based on the club’s needs.

I look forward to contributing to the society by providing an inclusive and stimulating environment 😉

As a dedicated enthusiast of makeup and cosmetic products, along with a wealth experience in communications and collaboration from my previous internship in both Marketing and PR agency, I am thrilled to nominate myself as the Partnership Ambassador for MUA society.

My passion for beauty derives from my exploration of diverse makeup in a variety of circumstances, making me realise that makeup is not merely a routine to follow, it could be a form of self-expression or a celebration of individuality and creativity. During my internship experiences, I've honed my skills in navigating diverse partnerships and ensuring each collaboration is mutually beneficial and impactful. I believe my passion for makeup, coupled with my strategic approach to partnerships, positions me well to contribute to the society.
