Vibes - thats the role of a social sec right?

Well that is my goal I suppose

I would like to make it easier for first years to be integrated into the society, especially if they don't play in rhaps. Plenty of great musicians don't get to play in this show and it is a real shame for them to not feel as much a part of our society. To improve this situation I would like to organise more social events throughout the year and a wider variety, rather than just pub all the time. Don't get me wrong I personally love the pub but plenty of people don't and they shouldn't find it harder to be a part of LM just because they arent raging alcoholics like the rest of us.... I would also like to put more emphasis on the families in term 1 and organise more events involving them as I feel it is a good way to meet people in other years aside from shows.

UCL live music has the benifit of being in london... and I think this is not really utilised in our socials. I would like to organise socials to live music venues, as we have so many great places very close by (eg. ronnies or blues kitchen). As a society I believe we should be supporting local musicians more and it may even be inspiring for society members who are concidering pursuing music as a career in future.

What makes this society so much fun is getting to hang with a bunch of other music nerds and as social sec I would like to make that as easy as possible.
