I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally nominate myself for the position of Dance Director. Dance has always been an a way to express yourself. I want to bring new dance forms and style in the society, I have been part of the society, but this time as a dance director I want to bring something new in the society, I am a masters student, at times I take  workshops for the UCL dance society, but this time I want to contribute my skills in this society. I have a clear vision for the coming term, including organising diverse workshops/collaborations that explore a variety of dance styles and songs that we should be doing,  that's why before I graduate I want to be a part of this society by teaching people and most importantly making sure that they have fun while dancing. All the dance styles that I have been doing back in India, I want to bring it here in Indian dance society :)

I am eager to bring a fresh perspective to our vibrant community.

Shreshta Sanyal

Dance has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey in dance has been diverse, with varying styles; Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Bollywood, etc. Many years of attending Shiamak Davar classes, and six years of professional Kathak training have honed my passion, skills and understanding of movement and expression.

As Dance Director, I envision leveraging my multifaceted background to choreograph captivating routines, organise enriching workshops, and foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

Choreographing performances for national competitions and cultural events in both the Middle East and India have polished my dance techniques whilst also helping me gain invaluable experience in choreography and event management. Being a senior house leader in sixth form equipped me with essential organisational and communication skills to liaise between different stakeholders and manage various events; enabling me to contribute meaningfully to the smooth functioning of this society and successful execution of future workshops and collaborations!

As an already dedicated member, actively participating in workshops and dance events like Rangeela, I'm particularly drawn to this role since it is an opportunity to combine my passion for dance with my commitment to community engagement and cultural celebration. I'm excited about the prospect of working alongside fellow enthusiasts to promote various dance forms and create memorable experiences for this society!
