Hello everyone! I'm Alice Boleslawski, running for the Secretary position of DramaSoc.
As I have only joined Drama Society recently, many may not know me (yet!) but I have great projects in mind for the year to come.
As current Head of Volunteering, I have discovered what being on a committee represents and feel confident in building and organizing strong relationships. In developing our volunteering program, I built strong ties with care home facilities to boost opportunities for UCL students, whether on stage, behind the scenes, or lending a hand. I therefore fully understand the commitment and responsibilities required of me and am more than happy to take them on.
Additionally, after a decade of drama experience, I understand the importance of passion and community in theater. I've produced and acted in diverse shows, sharpening organizational and time management skills relevant to the secretary role. The position would allow me to understand the society’s organization better, helping the development of our project and society.
For next year, I promise to use my fast-texting skills to serve as a strong communication link, ensuring that every important piece of information gets around quickly and surely, while also pursuing this project on the side and hoping to work with a lot of you :)
As formidable actress Bette Davis once wisely said: “If Hollywood doesn’t work out, I am prepared to be the best secretary in the world.”
Feel free to reach out @aliceblwsk! <3
Hello everyone! I'm your friendly chemist, Mayukh! Currently a 2nd year (soon to be 3rd hopefully) Chemistry student, and a dedicated member who has been passionately involved in drama from my high school days, I am excited to put forth my candidacy for the Secretary of our Drama Society! My experience as a Transition Mentor, Student Ambassador, Outreach Ambassador of our Faculty and Finance Assistant of Southwark Cathedral has provided me with the organizational skills and attention to detail necessary for this pivotal role.
If elected, I intend to maintain:
Effective Communication: I will manage our society's agenda meticulously and take detailed minutes during all weekly and general meetings, ensuring transparency and continuity in our communication.
Engaging Newsletters: Expect vibrant, informative newsletters sent out regularly, keeping you updated on upcoming events, workshops, and all things drama-related. These newsletters will not only inform but also highlight members' contributions and upcoming opportunities.
Prompt Email Management: As the main handler of the society’s email account, I’ll ensure timely and professional responses to all inquiries and communications, keeping our connections strong and our network informed.
I am dedicated to making our administrative processes as efficient as they are inclusive. Vote for me as Secretary, and let’s ensure our society is well-organized and every voice is heard!
