I’m standing for Treasurer again because I’ve already been handling the real day-to-day finance work for TeaSoc, and I want to keep improving the systems that make our events run smoothly.

This year I:
- managed our event budgets from idea stage to settlement (tea tastings, workshops and social meetups);
- handled reimbursements and supplier payments with complete receipt trails and clear purchase descriptions, so we stay SU-compliant;
- kept a shared finance folder and spreadsheet (income/expenses by event) so the committee could see what we could afford before we committed;
- worked with the President/Event Lead to price tickets and estimate turnout, avoiding overspending on tea orders and consumables.

If re-elected, I will make the process even more practical:
1) A simple “before you buy” checklist (approved spend limit + what evidence is needed) to prevent rejected claims.
2) Event budget templates (tea order, venue/props, printing, snacks, contingency) so every event has a clear cost plan.
3) Build a small supplier price list/discount contacts for better value, and reduce last-minute purchases.
4) A clean handover pack (templates, step-by-step reimbursement guide, examples of good receipts/descriptions).

I’m detail-oriented, responsive, and I care about using the budget to deliver more high-quality tea events for members.
