As the Competitions Manager, you will be responsible for finding, setting up, and running competitions within the society and externally. You will work with the Outreach Officer and be responsible for organizing competitions in collaboration with industry partners. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your organizational skills, collaborate with partner organizations, and make a positive impact on the society’s members.

Yiyang Xue
I am in Engineering and Architectural Design, year 2, and who is passionate about being the Competition Manager.
I have developed organizational skills for planning and executing competitions, such as the Singing competitions and Speech competitions. I am also interested in working collaboratively to inform the impactful architectural contests (the ones organized by architecture firms and organizations) and encourage members to take part in them. A well-planned event would not only bring contests to the experience, joy and prizing but also networking opportunities. I would like also to develop robust connections within the real-life industry through the competition.
I have prior experience working in the core team of the student council during my pre-university years. It is comfortable for me to work and communicate with people from different backgrounds and life experiences. In terms of marketing, technology, and event planning for a competition, I am happy to work internally with SEAD members to make it better.
