Role description:
(i) Be responsible for all financial matters of the society, and ensure they operate within the society constitution and within Club and Society Regulations.
(ii) Authorise all expenditure on behalf of the society except for when they need to reclaim the money themselves, in which case the president shall authorise this expenditure.
(iii) Be responsible for completing the relevant grant application forms for the society.
(iv) Provide the president with regular reports on the financial affairs of the club/society.

Rea Hwang
I’m Rea Hwang, a third year MPharm student at UCL. As an interim treasurer, I have completed the treasurer training course so I have a good understanding of the budgeting structure regarding our SOP’s fund, and have a good idea of planning various SOP events.
If elected, as a future treasurer I would make an effort with other members of the society to secure financing through sponsorships and the Student Union to support various SOP events, including the Boat Party, Grad Ball, and Bar Nights.
I have the teamwork and communication skills from the experience of working at Boots. Also I have mathematical skills from my previous BS Chemistry degree. I believe my skills will be able to support our society’s goals and plans throughout the year. I'm happy to have this chance, and hope I could be a great help to the society!
