Candidates

Vishal Saha (He/Him)
Your voice, your community, your welfare rep.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

1. Prevent burnout by helping students balance their degrees with society commitments, extracurricular activities and social lives.

2. Prioritise student welfare by creating safe, supportive spaces through regular check-ins and working closely with society committees to identify members’ needs early.

3. Turn student voices into action by bringing these priorities directly to the Welfare & Community Zone, ensuring society members’ concerns are heard and translated into meaningful change.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

1. Experience communicating with students: Through creating video content and interviewing people for UCL and the Students’ Union, I’ve learned how to listen to diverse perspectives and make people feel at ease.

2. Understanding student life: My background in society and student leadership has given me firsthand insight into student experiences and the importance of supportive communities.

3. Turning feedback into action: I know how to gather honest feedback, champion members’ needs, and ensure students feel heard, seen and supported.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Vote for me if you want a rep who is:

  1. approachable
  2. checks in
  3. actually follows through

I won't just sit in meetings—I'll actively gather your feedback, bring your concerns straight to decision-makers, and keep you updated. Let’s make our societies more inclusive, supportive, and connected.

Vote Vish for positive, student-led change!
