Yiting Yang (Yiting Yang)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Serving on the Executive Committees of the 6th and 7th China-America Student Conferences, I coordinated complex logistics and presented reports to boards, developing strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.

My International Relations background has sharpened my analytical thinking and strategic perspective. These experiences taught me how to synthesize diverse feedback and bridge communication gaps effectively. I will bring these skills to advocate for our student body, foster a transparent academic environment, and ensure students' voices are represented at the faculty level.

Listening to Every Voice, Connecting Every Mind.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected as Faculty Rep, I hope to establish a more transparent and responsive feedback loop between students and faculty, ensuring academic concerns are addressed promptly. Beyond resolving day-to-day issues, my goal is to enhance our academic community by fostering closer connections across programs through collaborative initiatives. Ultimately, I aim to advocate for practical improvements in curriculum design and resource allocation at the faculty level, ensuring every student's voice actively shapes our learning environment.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I have always believed that university should be more than just lectures and exams; it is a shared journey where every student's voice matters.  I will deeply committed to turning students' daily feedback into tangible, meaningful actions. I understand how information gaps and academic hurdles can cause unnecessary stress, which is why I am ready to step up as students' reliable, approachable bridge to the faculty. I will ensure students concerns are clearly heard and effectively addressed.and  to make our academic experience smoother, fairer, and more rewarding for everyone.
