Olanrewaju Solanke (He/him)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I bring several years of student representation and leadership experience, having served as a Course Representative throughout my Medicine and Surgery degree. I have also been President of my departments literary and debate club and Deputy General Secretary. These roles strengthened my communication, organisation, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Most importantly, I understand that effective representation means listening, ensuring students feel heard, communicating concerns constructively, and following up to help achieve practical solutions.

One for all. All for one.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected, I hope to build an open and constructive channel between postgraduate students and the university. I want students to feel comfortable raising concerns, sharing ideas and giving honest feedback, knowing that their views will be listened to and communicated appropriately.

I would also like to help close the gap between feedback and action. Where issues are raised, I would work with students and staff to understand what can realistically be improved, follow up on concerns, and communicate outcomes back to the cohort.

Lastly, to ensure students feel heard and shape their UCL experience.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Because I bring real representation experience, but more importantly, because I pay attention, I listen, communicate clearly, and make sure concerns don't just vanish into thin air. You can expect me to follow through, keep dialogue open, and work towards practical solutions. In short, because I'll make sure your voice actually gets carried through.

Alistair Green
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I am currently the Academic Representative for the MClinDent Oral Surgery programme, so I already have experience listening to students, raising concerns and feeding back to staff. I am a clinician as well as a postgraduate student, and I think I bring a practical, straightforward approach. I am comfortable speaking up when something needs attention, but I also try to be fair, constructive and focused on finding workable solutions.

A clear voice for clinical postgraduates.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I hope to make sure clinical postgraduate students are properly heard and that issues raised are followed up, not just discussed once and forgotten. I would like to improve communication between students and the Faculty, particularly around teaching, clinical training and the overall postgraduate experience. I also want to be approachable, so students feel comfortable raising concerns or ideas with me.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I already have experience representing postgraduate students and I take the role seriously. I listen, I follow things up and I am not afraid to raise difficult issues when needed. At the same time, I try to be constructive and fair. If elected, I would make sure clinical postgraduate students have someone approachable who will represent their views properly and keep them informed about what is happening at Faculty level.
