During my undergraduate degree, Rotaract helped me develop skills in coordination, communication and teamwork. As an international student, I understand the importance of adjusting to new academic settings, with questions concerning teaching, assessment, opportunities to engage and building networks. I will bring an empathetic and proactive attitude to the role, ensuring that each peer of mine is heard and comfortable sharing their experience.
Above all, I aim to be an effective link between Faculty and students, promoting clear communication, accessibility and accountability.
I hope to foster a faculty community where every student has a voice in shaping the academic environment that works the best for us. Throughout the year, I look forward to keeping us connected through shared experiences, conversations, and collective feedback, ensuring that our perspective reaches our faculty for consideration.
After all, we are connected not just by the course we study, but by the shared experiences that make our time at UCL truly enriching.
Each cohort brings different experiences, perspectives and aspirations. So, why vote for me ?
- A proactive representative : Strive to turn feedback into constructive conversations with the faculty and follow up.
- A listener before a speaker: Ensure that representation begins with listening and not assumptions.
-
Approachable and empathetic : Feel comfortable sharing concerns and ideas, knowing they will be heard, considered and taken forward wherever possible.
For me, representation is not having all the answers; it's about the willingness to listen and finding the way forward!
