Lisa Bianchi (They/them)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

My role as Student Representative for the Meng EAD programme last year has provided me with an insight into the inner workings of UCL, and how to approach meetings with staff so that productive discussion is had. I am also a good listener, and provided students with every opportunity to talk to me about issues they were having with the course or with UCL at large, which I will continue in my role as Faculty Representative. I am passionate and a problem solver, so will stop at nothing to make sure your concerns are heard and dealt with.

Your concerns. Your voice.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

First and foremost, I hope to improve the learning experiences and environments of every student I am representing. I will make sure that every concern is addressed, and do my utmost to keep myself and students informed on the progress of the resolution of inquiries. I also hope to improve the connection between the disciplines studying under the Built Environment faulty at UCL, especially to identify challenges we might all be facing as students of an ever-developing industry and put ideas forward to staff on what can be done.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Simply put, I care about your education. I want everyone to feel included and at ease in their respective disciplines and more generally at UCL. University can get incredibly overwhelming, especially when you don't know where to turn when you're not feeling heard (after 3 years here, I've seen it all), so I'd like to be the person you can turn to.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I believe leadership starts with listening, but proves itself through action. As a Course Representative and Transition Mentor, I’ve learnt how to connect people, challenge ideas constructively and turn concerns into conversations that matter. I bring initiative, curiosity and the determination to make representation meaningful, not merely symbolic.

Not just heard. Represented.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I want students to see the impact of their voices, not just be told they’ve been heard. My goal is to make communication more transparent, opportunities more accessible and the relationship between students and faculty more collaborative. Small changes can have a lasting impact when someone takes responsibility for making them happen.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Fellow students should vote me because I believe representation is a responsibility, not a title. I’ve experienced student leadership firsthand, and I know that real change requires more than good intentions. I’ll listen, question, follow through and, most importantly, keep you involved. Your voice deserves more than a seat at the table. It deserves influence.
