Botond Gracza (He/Him)
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Uni’s more fun when the place you live feels like home. I want our hall to be somewhere people connect, make friends and have a good time. I’m talking epic themed nights, chill movie evenings, spontaneous food socials and fun events that make uni life feel bigger than lectures and deadlines.

I want everyone to feel part of it, whether you’re super social or more laid back. And I’ll always listen to what people want so we can plan things together. Basically, I want this place to be the kind of hall everyone remembers as the highlight of first year.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I genuinely enjoy bringing people together, and I think that’s the most important part of this role. I’ve worked with younger students as a maths tutor, so I know how to communicate clearly, stay patient and help everyone feel included. I’ve been a youth football referee, which taught me to stay calm and manage issues.

I am organised, reliable and full of ideas, but I also listen and adapt to what people want. Most importantly, I care about creating a space where everyone feels welcome. I’m confident I can bring energy, creativity and a team-player mindset to make hall life better for everyone.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Vote for me if you want our hall to be more than just a place to sleep. I want it to be where friendships start, stories happen and boring weeks suddenly get interesting. I’ll bring energy, creativity and proper effort into planning events you’ll actually want to go to, while making sure everyone feels part of things. Most of all, I care about creating the kind of vibe that makes you look back and say, “living here was the best part of first year.”
