What I bring to this role is the ability to make people feel represented, but not just managed. My experience in leadership roles, taught me that the best approach is to built trust by combining vision with approachability. I have been an organiser of a MUN, editor-in-chief of a magazine, leader of creative projects and it showed me what research in psychology confirms: people follow leaders who listen actively, and then deliver results. And my mix of academic excellence and creative vision means I can speak for both the analytical and the creative, which is a big part of the UCL EAST campus.
My goal is to help make UCL East feel like a place where every student feels part of something bigger, not just someone passing through. I want to improve how students’ voices are heard and acted on by creating clearer communication. I’ve seen first-hand how students can sometimes feel disconnected or unsure about where to get support or how to get involved, and that experience made me determined to help make things clearer and more collaborative for everyone. Especially, as a first-year student, my fresh perspective is one of my biggest strengths.
Hi, I’m Rusty - a first-year student who truly believes UCL East should feel like a community where everyone belongs and has the chance to shape what this place becomes. I know what it’s like to be new here, to look for your space, your people, and your confidence. That’s why I’m standing: to make sure no one feels left out, and that every idea has the power to turn into action. I’m not promising perfection, but I’m promising effort and real connection. If you want a representative who listens and acts, then I’d love your support. Let’s build the UCL East we all want to be part of – together!
I’ll bring creativity, energy, and strong communication skills to this role. As a past school photographer, I captured events and worked closely with staff and students, learning to communicate ideas visually and pay attention to detail. As an Art Ambassador, I supported fellow students, helped run projects, and listened to others’ ideas, giving me experience in leadership and turning feedback into action. On top of that, I’m naturally curious and approachable, students feel comfortable coming to me with suggestions or issues, and I’m committed to making sure their voices are heard.
If elected, I want to make sure every UCL East student feels heard and supported. I’ll work to improve communication between students and the Union, highlight student priorities, and make campaigns and initiatives engaging and inclusive. I hope to strengthen the sense of community on campus, provide opportunities for students to get involved, and ensure that feedback leads to real, practical changes that improve student life.
Vote for me because I genuinely care about making UCL East a better place for all students. I’ll listen to your concerns and ideas and turn them into real projects, events, and campaigns that matter. I want campus life to feel fun, inclusive, and welcoming, where students feel supported and connected. As a Media student, I can communicate ideas creatively and clearly, making sure initiatives reach everyone and have a real impact. I’m approachable, proactive, and committed to making student life at UCL East something we can all be proud of.
I bring experience as a Course and Departmental Representative, Faculty Ambassador for branding, and a UCL content creator, with a clear understanding of the responsibilities and scope of this role. My industry experience as a cost manager has taught me how to maximise resources effectively and secure more tangible benefits for students. Having also been part of a successful startup, I know how to deliver immediate, visible change within weeks, turning ideas into real improvements that visibly enhance student life.
I will unlock the full potential of UCL East by transforming it into a community more connected than ever. I plan to lead student-driven events, make hidden opportunities and resources easily accessible to everyone, and create clear, engaging online content so students are always in the loop about what matters most. No longer will UCL East students feel like they’re missing out on main campus life, instead, we’ll build our own thriving culture, with events and initiatives so good they’ll draw attention to us.
I will be a representative for everyone, someone you can approach with any suggestion or idea. I promise to thoroughly discuss every suggestion with the student body, exploring its viability and how it could be implemented, so you feel fully involved in the decision-making process. Any decision made will be communicated clearly, with financial transparency to ensure everyone understands how resources are being used. No hidden bureaucracy.
As Minister of the Career Department at UCL CSSA and a student opinion leader with experience in global forums and multicultural initiatives, I aim to ensure every voice is heard and every culture celebrated. If elected, I will promote multicultural exchange, enhance student welfare, and strengthen collaboration between students and staff. I plan to host monthly open forums, launch a digital feedback system, and organise inclusive cultural and innovation events to build a connected, supportive and inspiring UCL East where diversity fuels progress and every student can thrive.
From secondary school to university, I have consistently served as a student opinion leader, developing strong social and communication skills through leading teams and representing peers. As Minister of the Career Department at UCL CSSA, I organised the “Xiaomi Workshop – Discovery Series” and UCL orientation events across major cities. My experience in global forums and the Shanghai Cup Debate Championship strengthened my leadership and multicultural collaboration abilities. I bring empathy, confidence, and a global outlook to connect and empower the UCL East community.
Peers and mates, don’t vote for me — vote for your voices and your vision of UCL East. I’m not just a leader, but a mate who listens, connects and takes action for your merits. From secondary school to university, I’ve stood for dialogue, inclusion and real change. If elected, I’ll represent the shared interests of students and the University, strengthening welfare, diversity and collaboration. Together, we’ll build a bold, united and inspiring UCL East — where every culture shines, every idea matters, and every student feels proud to belong.
