Magdalena Georgieva (she/her)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I bring a range of relevant experience and skills to this role. Last year, I was both our course representative for the Human Neuroscience BSc and a Faculty of Brain Sciences undergraduate representative, which gave me valuable insight into how to effectively voice student concerns and collaborate with staff to create positive changes. I have extensive experience in public speaking, from leading meetings as a representative to teaching large classes of students, which has strengthened my confidence in clear and effective communication.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected, I aim to strengthen communication between students and staff while creating a more supportive, inclusive faculty experience. A key focus will be improving exam season by ensuring clearer communication about formats and expectations, providing structured revision support like Q&A sessions with lecturers and curated resources, and making the process less stressful. As a second-year student, I bring experience and insight to advocate for positive changes and foster stronger connections across courses so all students feel heard and valued.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Students should vote for me because I have proven experience representing our course and faculty, having served as both Human Neuroscience representative and Faculty of Brain Sciences rep last year. I am passionate about listening to all voices and making sure concerns are heard and acted upon. With strong communication and public speaking skills, I can confidently represent our year in meetings and advocate for meaningful changes, such as clearer exam guidance and better revision support. I am committed to making our time at UCL as positive, organised, and supportive as possible.
