Ioan Thomas (He/Him)
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Helping Danilo in his plan to start a neurdodivergent network, as not all neurodivergent students identify as disabled.

Providing advice and support to students with a range of neurodivergence who are starting at uni or have been at uni and are struggling (with an open emailing or messaging policy).

I would like to look into neurodivergent outreach for secondary school children on behalf of UCL, as they receive very little support or advice relating to their diagnosed or, unfortunately, largely undiagnosed neurodivergence.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have been the welfare officer of the autism society for just under a year now and would like to think I have helped at least one person within or outsid  of my role.

Over the past year I have coped with managing university as a diagnosed autistic with OCD. I would like to share these experiences with new students so that they can better adjust to the changes which come from being at university.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I want to help people and continue helping people.
