What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Hey everyone! As your hall representative, my mission is to transform our living space into a tight-knit community where everyone feels welcome and heard. I want to work on improving our common areas so they’re not just functional but inviting—a place where you might actually want to hang out. I'll push for events that are more than just fillers in your calendar, aiming for activities and gatherings that bring a sense of community. Lastly, I'll make sure everyone’s voice is heard, whether you have a killer idea for an event or just want the vending machine stocked with better snacks!

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

In this role, I’ll bring my experience as last year’s lead department representative at the IOE, where I successfully navigated organising events and addressing student concerns. My previous role honed my leadership skills and taught me how to be an effective advocate. I’m skilled at bringing people together and fostering a sense of community, and I have a proven track record of turning ideas into action. On top of that, I'm ready to listen and collaborate to make our hall a welcoming and dynamic environment for everyone!

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I’d love your vote because I’m committed to making our hall an actually fun place to live in. With my experience as a lead department representative, I’ve learned how to effectively advocate for students and bring ideas to life. Also, I’m passionate about creating a fun and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and heard. I plan to organise engaging events that bring us together and ensure our common spaces are not only functional but enjoyable. Let’s work together to make our hall a vibrant and supportive community where everyone feels at home!
