What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
I bring strong organizational and communication skills developed through my experiences as a Business Adviser and volunteer teacher. My commitment to diversity and inclusion drives me to create a welcoming environment for POC students. I am passionate about fostering community engagement and ensuring all voices are represented in decision-making processes. Additionally, my empathy and ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds enable me to plan impactful events that celebrate our cultural diversity and address the unique challenges faced by POC students at UCL.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
I hope to create an inclusive and vibrant community for POC students at UCL. I aim to organize engaging events that celebrate our diverse cultures, promote awareness of the unique challenges POC students face, and foster meaningful discussions. By actively seeking feedback from members, I will ensure our initiatives reflect their needs and empower them. I also plan to collaborate with Student Officers to advocate for POC students' interests, enhancing their university experience and creating a supportive environment where every student feels valued and represented.
