What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
Climate Action
University students should have access to as many resources as possible to participate in sustainability related activities and advocacy. The NUS should also lobby for more universities to implement the motions already passed at a national level.
Cost of Living
Universities should provide students with accommodation at a reasonable price. Student concerns regarding the quality and price of their accommodation should be heard.
War
The NUS should lobby for universities to stop funding war efforts.
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
As a returning delegate I know how the NUS conference functions. I will be able to advocate for what YOU want as I know how to work with the system.
I have also been involved in many climate crisis related projects or movements such as the Fridays for Future movement or climate knowledge training programs with working professionals. I know how to talk with different people of different backgrounds and NEGOTIATE to obtain what YOU want.
