Election post

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

At conference I have 3 major goals. To elevate our voices on issues such as:

  1. Climate Action
  2. Free Palestine
  3. Cost of Living

I represented UCL as an NUS delegate last year and witnessed the biases and inefficiencies of the conference. This year, I have built a personal relationship with the NUS President and the Vice President for Higher Education and I support the vision for an NUS that effectively campaigns on behalf of students, not just to our universities, but to our political structures.

We are a big university. Let's make big changes.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

With years of experience in campaigning for climate action and social justice issues AND a track record of presenting and passing policy motions at UCL’s Union Executive and Welfare and Community Zone meetings, I am well placed to represent the voices of UCL students on a national stage.

If you want to be represented by someone who’s passionate, has years of experience and the tenacity to voice and elevate your concerns at the NUS - your search is over! Vote for Alfie :)

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I'm in my 5th year at UCL. Vote for someone who’s been where you are, understands your position and has a track record of creating change.

I Listen:

As a previous NUS delegate, course rep and attendee of various UCL Student Union zone meetings, I like to stay on top of salient issues to us students.

I Advocate:

I will use UCL's powerful influence to drive delegates to vote for issues we care about.

I Act:

With experience in grassroots activism and a vision for a better NUS, I'll work to implement policies that we really care about.

Vote for me and let's turn words into action.
