What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As the 2023-24 SRI lead department representative, I have acquired various specialised skills such as leadership, communication to enhance the IOE experience through addressing student feedback 😊

Key achievements:

  • IOE Microwaves: successfully advocated for microwaves
  • IOE Society: Co-founded a student-led team to organise events for IOE students
  • Communication: SRI WhatsApp group with 200+ students for announcements and feedback

  • Social Sciences Course Rep 2023-24, 2024-25
  • Transition Mentor 2023-24
  • SRI Senior Mentor 2024-25
  • IOE Peer Supporter 2024-25
  • Founder and President of IOE Society 2024-25
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected, my work will centre around representing your best interests, ensuring you get the best out of your IOE experience

In addition to that, I also hope to achieve the following:

  • Communication - Reps and Societies

Regular meetings between IOE reps and societies, addressing the constant feedback regarding lack of networking/ social events together

  • PANTRY!!!

Communal space + access to hot water – outside Logan Hall or W3.01. Addressing the microwave queues and lack of seating during peak hours

  • Building report system

Online form where students can directly report maintenance issues for fixing

I started my journey as a student representative driven by a genuine passion for helping others and amplifying student voices. Working alongside fellow reps, students and staff has resulted in meaningful achievements and allowed me to build strong connections across our community, as shown through my ongoing contributions to the IOE.

With your support, I can continue supporting and advocating for my fellow students, working to enhance the IOE experience for everyone!
