What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

I always keep this in my heart. My focus would be to show how much I care about creating an inclusive, supportive and vibrant environment where everyone feels heard and valued while retaining the essence of diversity that is Ramsay and Ian Baker; a space where students can unwind, form friendships of life and support each other. Ramay and Ian Baker is a social hub and I aim to enhance our living experience here. My main goal is to make this hall feel like a true home away from home.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I bring leadership experience having organised various events and managed volunteer groups. Moreover, I believe that my experience hosting events as the Cultural Secretary  in my high school has enabled me to represent the varied diversity of our Hall. During my tenure as the Head of Operations at Your Words Matter To Us, I have been equipped with the tools to organise large scale events keeping in mind the diverse groups. I endeavour to conduct more social events so that there is always something for someone, celebrate occasions together, be it birthdays or an international festival!

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

When I first came to Ramsay, I hardly knew anyone. But during my first week here, I met many amazing people from diverse backgrounds doing different courses. I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive space for us.

I'm approachable, empathetic and proactive in organising events that bring all of us together. I believe that my leadership experience and communication skills along with my passion for inclusivity will help me to connect with everyone and make a positive impact. By fostering genuine connections, I believe we can build a stronger, more vibrant community together.
