What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
Life in halls can feel disconnected when events don’t lead to meaningful connections, either due to low turnout or lack of excitement. My goal is to change that with standout monthly events everyone will want to attend! In October, we’ll host a Navratri Garba night, followed by a Secret Santa in December. For Chinese New Year, we’ll have an inter-halls potluck, and in February, we’ll partner with UCL’s Farmer’s Society for Sustainability Week. These events will actually help you meet others, stay connected with the residential community, and form lasting friendships!
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
I bring a mix of experience, leadership, and compassion to this role. In boarding school, I served as a welfare officer, fostering a caring environment and handling the challenges of living away from home. I also started an initiative called Girls in STEM during my A-Levels, empowering female students to pursue STEM fields while balancing academic stress. This taught me how to manage time and care for others. You can count on me when you're feeling low, and I’ll ensure the role is always well-managed, even under pressure.

When I was in your position, I noticed the lack of support and connection. I want to change that! Living in halls should be about building a vibrant community that values your well-being, comfort, and happiness. Like in great hall communities, we can bond over activities and support one another. I want you to feel heard and part of something bigger.
