My aim is to continue the work I began as faculty rep, where I saw how important it is for students to feel connected. The Faculty Talent Show, “FMS Ignight,” provided a great opportunity to create a supportive space for networking and community building, with strong connections developing between students and staff. It also raised funds for research within our faculty.
I encourage people to explore and enjoy life at UCL.
My goal is to help everyone feel more connected. The Faculty Talent Show and Networking event brought students together face-to-face, and soon we’ll be launching a social media app just for university members: https://www.askdna.co.uk/. It’s a safe space for staying connected and supporting each other online. I also plan to focus on career opportunities, so everyone can make the most of their time at university.
I love connecting people, whether it is individually or through platforms, to help them share ideas and build meaningful relationships.
Please vote for me and I'm looking forward to meet, talk, and working with you!
I have three years of experience in my high school student government association, including two years as the treasurer and one year as the president. Therefore, I am experienced in hosting events and acting as the bridge between faculty and student communication. I hope to continue being an active member of my school community, and this is my first step. I may be new to UCL and the medical science department, but I am outgoing, enthusiastic, and responsible. I believe these traits will aid me in upholding this role as a student rep, but at the same time, there is more to learn.
I want to achieve two things in my position. First, I want to work with the student union to enrich medical science students' lives. There are already a lot of activities hosted; however, as the student representative, my target is for activities hosted on the Royal Free Campus. Second, I will start study group where IMS students can study together. It can be challenging to adjust to the workload and the complex content. I believe students will enjoy teaching and learning from one another. I will act as the binder to have everyone work together to achieve better academically.
I should be voted as a student representative for the faculty of medical sciences because I am experienced. If that isn't convincing enough, I am easy to communicate with and can get things done. I understand many of us have academic priorities, but I also understand we want a FUN university experience. Let me be the one to voice your needs, wants, and concerns. Maybe we need more socials as a faculty? Or is it more academic support because everything is too hard? Your vote will guarantee your student representative to be responsible, enthusiastic, determined and caring.
As a Wildhearts’ Global Youth Ambassador, I’ve led initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, climate action, and delivering student support to 1000+ students during COVID lockdowns.
I independently collaborated with charity managers to launch a Financial Education Scheme, raising awareness for financial literacy, and created the Student Enrichment Initiative.
This showcases that I can lead projects, advocate effectively, drive positive change, and contribute meaningfully as a Medical Sciences Faculty Rep for UCL students.
As a former Student President, I launched the Student Enrichment Initiative, independently delivering 200+ opportunities over 14 months, helping students access higher-level job prospects.
Creating a New Opportunities Bank for UCL Medical Sciences Students will provide:
- Much needed SHORT-TERM GLOBAL PLACEMENTS and EXCHANGE TRIPS for us!
- Collaborations with National and International Universities + Companies
- CREATING FORUMS for like-minded students to come together, start a new project, enter national competitions, or create a charity/business venture.
- Events CONNECTING students across courses.
Our students should feel their needs, concerns and values are heard. I can ensure that the diverse perspectives of the UCL Medical Sciences Student Body are represented.
From providing career development, research opportunities and soft skills, to facilitating study spaces and events connecting students within department's, we can create a thriving and enjoyable student experience for the Student Body in the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
Vote Dilmeet Kapoor, to represent our students’ priorities, and implement changes to support YOU :)
