Kody Christiansen (He/Him)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I aim to advocate for the unique needs of students within these disciplines, ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for academic and creative growth. I will work to build strong communication between students and faculty, push for enhanced funding for arts initiatives, and enhance platforms where students share their work, collaborate, and express their creative talents. As an artist, actor, filmmaker, academic, and author, I understand firsthand the challenges faced by students in these fields and will strive to support their artistic and academic journeys.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

With leadership experience at both Cambridge and Harvard, I bring strong advocacy skills and a deep understanding of the importance of supporting the arts and humanities. My strategic thinking and collaborative approach will help bridge the gap between students and faculty, fostering an environment where creativity is nurtured and students feel empowered. I will also push for policies that prioritize funding and resources for these essential disciplines, ensuring the arts continue to thrive at UCL.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

My fellow students should vote for me because I am passionate about championing the arts and humanities, and I have the experience needed to make real change. With my leadership background, I will work hard to ensure that student voices are heard and that the resources available to arts and humanities students are improved. I am committed to fostering a community where creative expression is valued and supported, and I will be an advocate for all students in these disciplines.
