Jamila:

-BA Fine Art, MA Immersive Factual Storytelling

-Worked for arts organisations in East London, and helped facilitate creative workshops.

-Led collaborative art projects and involved local communities, encouraging connectivity.

-Empathetic, friendly and happy to represent diverse perspectives.

 

Hanna:

-BA English Literature with BSL, MASc Creative Health

-Worked in care for three years and community development projects providing opportunities for young people across the UK.

-Focused on inclusivity in education and neurodivergent representation.

-Empathetic, patient and passionate. 

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

We bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to fostering inclusivity, creativity and community engagement.

If elected, our goals are clear:

-Inclusivity and Diversity- We would lead a campus where every student voice is listened to, shining a spotlight on underrepresented voices.

-Community Collaboration- Create strong links with the community, providing opportunities for student involvement and impactful projects.

-Mental Health and Wellbeing- Push for more support services and reduce stigma around receiving support, for a more inclusive and caring community.

We are passionate about creating inclusive and diverse representations of students in higher education. We want to provide access and opportunities for students on and off campus. With a focus on creative health solutions and a hands on approach to actioning student feedback for a more positive and student led university experience.

As individuals we have our own unique lived experience that has informed our desire to run for this role, and our passion for creating and implementing positive change in higher education. Vote for us!
