Ibrahim Sayed Isa
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have extensive experience in organizational citizenship, having worked with NGOs and social enterprises since 2017. Many courses on workshops about effective communication and facilitation skills have made me able to analyze social networks and modify my style of content delivery accordingly. During my one-year experience as a course rep at UCL, I became aware of its organizational hierarchy. I have gained my coursemates' trust by raising their concerns in meetings with teaching staff and taking active steps towards addressing them as soon as possible.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I aspire to establish more communication channels between different departments of FMS in different UCL campuses. I believe this will not only allow more chance to explore the extensive UCL but will also pave the way for joint research projects and student collaborations. I will also aim to highlight the available support resources available in FMS by running informal group meetings and online support sessions.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I will prioritize concerns based on their urgency and aim to raise them to different levels of management. I will also work on building better communication amongst academic reps of FMS and with the union as a whole. Furthermore, I will share suggestions for extracurricular student-led events, which will hopefully help to enhance student experiences at UCL. Feedback is of great importance to me, for which I will periodically call for voluntary short-duration focus groups and informal chats.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Firstly, I served as a faculty representative for two years when I was an undergraduate at Liverpool University. During my tenure, I proactively completed various tasks.  I Carefully collected feedback from students and teachers and served as a bridge to connect both parties.  I was well-received at that time.  Therefore, I think I know how to do this job well, which is my advantage.

At the same time, I am willing to work in a team and good at communicating with other members.  And I have enough time every week to complete the relevant work of this position.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If I can be honored to be a representative, I would act as a bridge between the two sides to make communication more efficient. I also hope that I can help some students who have their own ideas but are not very outspoken in expressing them.

Meanwhile, Stanmore students may encounter problems that students on the main campus don't meet, such as longer commutes and the need to travel across campuses for classes. Therefore, I will focus more on these problems. Also,I think  a platform for the students of medical faculty in any form would help us study better and get to know each other better,

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

To begin with, I have experience as a faculty representative.  When I was an undergraduate student, I served as a faculty representative for two years. I was well-received at that time. I would act as a bridge between the two sides to make communication more efficient. I also hope that I can help some students who have their own ideas but are not very outspoken in expressing them.

I will focus on specific problems Stanmore students meet. I hope I can create a platform for the students of medical faculty for different uses. These ensure that I can do my job as a faculty representative well.
