Election post

Status
Elected
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Having spent my undergraduate years as a transition mentor and over the most recent summer as a teaching assistant, I have gained a wide understanding of the problems that affect students as well as a fervour to improve the teaching and student experience at UCL and the Life Sciences Faculty.

I believe that I could use the organisational and leadership skills I have developed in my previous roles, in addition to my empathy, enthusiasm and approachable-ness to become a reliable faculty representative for you all!

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
  • Establish an easily-accessible feedback platform for all students within the faculty about all aspects ranging from experiences in lectures and labs to concerns about future careers and exams
  • Organise events tailored to help students based on feedback received. Events could include Q&A sessions with recent alumni of the faculty, speakers on important topics like mental health, and fun socials to get to know others in life sciences
  • Raise overall student satisfaction in the faculty
  • Regularly meet with the Education Officer and relevant staff to ensure that feedback is heard and acted upon
Please summarise why students should vote for you.

As I am passionate about helping to improve your experience at UCL, I hope to become a voice to all students within the Life Sciences faculty.

Please consider voting me as your next faculty representative :)
