Election post

Status
Elected
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As the current third-year representative for the law faculty, I already understand both the pastoral and educational aspects of the role. Furthermore, whilst I am hardworking and career-oriented, I am also down-to-earth and approachable, meaning anyone can approach me and ask for help when needed.

Besides the faculty and concern-oriented parts of the role, so far this year, I have already helped create the new social common room for UG-Laws, as well as organising the homecoming pizza party for the returning years.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

In this role, my primary objective is to cultivate a stronger sense of community among all law students, including those returning from their year abroad. Promoting inter-year communication is essential, as it enables valuable knowledge exchange between students at different stages of their academic journey. I am committed to enhancing communication, facilitating success, and encouraging open dialogue.

I am close to both first years and second years, and I hope that this will allow me to create a more cohesive community in laws!

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Having spent several years at Laws and recent interactions with incoming first-years, I understand well what our law program offers in terms of curriculum, pastoral care, and career prospects. I would like to foster an environment of mutual assistance and help friendliness outweigh competitiveness within our year. Furthermore, my organisational skills and efficiency ensure effective communication with faculty and represent the students' voices while considering staff perspectives. Finally, my existing role as the third-year representative demonstrates my familiarity with the law faculty.
