What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have lived in three continents: Asia for 12 years, North America for 5, and Europe for 1 and counting. For me, appreciation and respect for diversity come naturally. UCL is a truly international community, and everyone deserves to feel represented. With utmost sensitivity and humility, I am ready to advocate for the 100+ nationalities in our faculty.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I pledge to be this institution’s most available and faithful representative.

I’ll establish a dedicated email address for students to reach me. I guarantee a reply to all concerns raised within 48 hours. No matter how small the issue may seem, I will not dismiss it.

I will be available for in-person contact for at least two hours weekly.

I will organise electronic surveys and referendums before the student union board votes and vote faithfully according to the result.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

The greatest hurdle to student success at UCL is rampant institutional disorganization. UCL is home to excellent academics, brilliant students, and fantastic support staff. However, despite being the ace team, things go wrong at UCL more often than not. Tech failures, maintenance that never comes, elusive lecturers never available, poorly designed curriculum that reflects neither the needs of the time nor the industry, the list goes on.

I study the issues and advocate for their timely solution so you can go ahead and excel without hesitation or frustration.
