What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I aim to have the Network hosting regular events, both in person and online, so they're accessible for everyone. I hope to make sure all our events are advertised widely so nobody misses out!

Having category socials is important to me so groups within the community can meet up. I've seen this work really well before, and think it’s important to continue that.

As well as running a range of events like game nights, escape room trips and picnics, I’d like to improve Glittoris and make it a safer, queer-er space.

I'm also really open to suggestions if anyone really wants us to run something!

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Through high school and uni, I’ve run many events, and learnt a lot from their challenges and successes. Last year, I was the Trans Officer, which involved setting up the Trans Network, running events and trying to improve trans rights at UCL. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there the whole year, but I gained significant experience.

While promoting positive change for LGBTQ+ students was enjoyable and fulfilling, my favourite part of the role was holding events for the queer community. I really want to do this again, and to be able to focus on that in the role of Social Secretary.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Hi! I'm Nestram, and my pronouns are they/them. I'm a second year Politics and International Relations student and I like to think I'm a friendly and open person. I've taken great interest in the Network in the past, and would love to continue doing so.

I'd really appreciate if you voted for me so that I can provide you with lots of fun events. I want to be able to contribute to the Network again, and love to organise things, especially if other people get to enjoy them.

I'll do my best to make sure the social side of the Network thrives, and that everyone can participate.

Thank you!! :D
