Johnathan L Chan
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Hi! My name is Johnathan, and I am a second-year BSc Social Science with Data Science Student. Becoming a house monitor in High-School and founder of Bromsgrove’s Economics Society, I am familiar with managing and communicating student voices to the administrative body. With my past experience, I am running for IOE UG Rep to represent students in the following areas:

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Accessibility: Creating an accessible discord server where the student body can propose changes, scrutinize reps, and engage with each other to discuss current issues

Representation: Increase representation of the student body through surveying and active engagement with students to widen understanding of student problems

Cross-body collaborations: Working closely with staff and other student bodies to effect greater and more impactful change

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

With your support, I hope to work with the other reps to address the issues discussed and create a better, lasting framework for representing students in the IOE with increased accessibility in the long run. If you believe in the betterment of students, join me, and let’s, bring our goals to fruition!
