What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
Hello everybody, my name is Divya Basan, and I am pursuing the Masters of Law. Firstly, I would like to thank you for taking the time for reading this. I come from a land that prides itself in being the communion of culture, creed and race since the inception of life; (*drumroll*) India.
My graduation was flared with leadership roles not just during my time at the university but also at my workplace. Hence, it only seems fitting to use my skills, be a voice and strive to constantly evolve.
I believe I can do a good job, be a good listener and impart help to you when it matters.
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
During my time as a university student in India, I was the president of the legal aid society and an active member of the pro bono community in India. After my graduation,
I worked for a big four whose motto was, "making an impact that truly matters".
Hence, going along the same lines, I am to bridge the social, cultural and various distinguishing factors by virtue of being a good listener. I look forward to hearing about your concerns and ensuring that your voices are truly head.
